EVALUATION AND ASSESSMENT REPORT Part 1. Team Building The moment I heard about the team building, I thought what a hassle it was. Although I knew that the sole purpose of the activity is to build the chemistry of the company, I personally thought that chemistry is something that is achieved through times of difficulties and hard work. But I thought that it is also for the team plus the Company Leader himself told the whole company to prepare for the team building. And there was also food so I thought that the activity is not really tiring but was fun. So I wanted to go personally and try this team building. Unfortunately, I was not able to go. My uncle was hospitalized in the province due to heart attacks. He was recommended to go to Metro Manila to receive better treatments and facilities. He had a letter regarding emergency accommodations in Heart Center in East Avenue. However, they did not give the right treatment. He was transferred to St. Lukes Medical Clinic and he immediately was sent to ER. That night, he received CCU and we decided to visit him in the hospital. My siblings and I couldnt come to the hospital except for that day. I thought that family was way more important than education, so I visited my uncle instead. The day after, a fellow Bravo cadet told me that merits were given to those who attended the team building. Another one said that mere extra shirts and towels were not enough to cloth them with the activity. He said that underwear should also be bought. Also, someone proclaimed that they had to take a shower when they arrived home immediately. The reason as to why, I dont exactly know. Maybe its because the activity was related to water, or showering. Or maybe the mud is also a part of it. But one thing is for sure, they had their time of fun and activities that was not really directly related under normal CAT activities. They also said that the food was scarce. Someone recommended that they should have brought more food than they should have. This means that they had a food blow-out. A feast. With these, I was honestly disappointed by not attending the activity. First of all, the almost free merits were a waste and I hoped I got merits too. In CAT, merits are important and I wanted to have more. The activities also seemed fun. And it also seemed that the company became closer than it originally was. This may seem a bit outdated but having a good team member to work with during hard times and members to persevere with, gives a reassuring feeling that I am not alone and there will always be someone to support me. The food was also a wasted resource. Of everything that could make me want to go to a certain activity, food is a part of my top lists. As a food lover as I am, any food is good except for anything containing pork. However, I am almost sure that there is food that I can eat, like in every party. And the activity itself is not that serious. Although it was not very outrageous, at the very least it was fun and the activity was better than I originally thought it was. For the next team building, I would recommend more fun activities. Though I do not exactly know what activities they did, I know that the assigned activities left the cadets hanging. And they wanted to have more. If other activities are not possible, at least give more time for the activity. More time for the cadets to exercise and eat.

Part 2. Performance Assessment Using the Pisay grading system, I would grade my individual performance as 1.50. I personally could not achieve the flat 1 grade. For me, those who were promoted to Alpha platoon are those who got the flat 1 grade. As seen, I could not get to Alpha platoon. I graded myself based on performance and effort. Personally, I gave it my all during CAT period. I also try not to make mistakes and listen to everything the commandant says. I give it my all whenever the company performs as one. However, I am sure to make mistakes. Using the Pisay grading system, I would grade Bravo-1 as 1.50. Honestly, I am sure that some of us are not that competent with regard to performance. As a full platoon, performing actions for the first time is hard. Often our timing is off. The steps are performed wrongly. However, give us time to practice and repeat the routine and we can perform better. As personally seen when I was excused one day, the platoon made minimal mistakes doing a routine that was taught the week before. It was certainly better than the time the command was first given. Using the Pisay grading system, I would grade Bravo Company as 1.50. I only get to work with Bravo-2 during flag retreat and bang days. Honestly, our line during flag retreat takes so much time to settle. We always get confused how many cadets there are in a file, and who gets to file where. As a result, the commandant always makes us repeat our line until we could perfect it. In average, the commandant makes us repeat 4-5 times until we could get the files right. However, during bang days, the company is synchronized. Maybe its because we want to be dismissed early. I would like to classify myself as an asset to the platoon and to the company. Not bragging but I really try my best to help the company. From my personal experience, the commandant only called my attention minimally. This means that my performance did not delay or obstruct the whole performance of the platoon and the company. To improve my performance, I will try to train off-time. If I have a free time and I have a command that I dont quite understand, I will try to practice it. I must listen fully even if the volume of the commandant is at its smallest. In past efforts, I would give myself a grade of 9. I gave it my all whenever the period comes. However, the grade 10 is not for me seeing that my efforts and performance did not promote me to Alpha. In the future, I would like to give an effort of 10. Not only to give me a good grade, but also to make the company a better company in itself. Given a chance to change company, I will not change company. Though the company is difficult, I only take this as a challenge to better myself. The company gives me the sufficient obstacles to improve my performance but not to deteriorate my esteem.
