Seek Ye First the King of God

Matthew 6:33.. The scriptures pointed us to the fact that we must make a decision as to whether we would serve mammon or the Lord of Glory. I am not emphasizing seeking the Kingdom of God simply for monetary gain. Let me put it this way, if we serve God because of financial pressures only, then when the pressures are eased, we leave off serving Him. That is a very low level of relationship. However, if we seek God because of a love and appreciation that we have for Him and because of the love that he has for us, then we have a real friendship. In fact, as we fellowship with the Lord, we learn more about Him and He reveals more of his ways to us. The only one that can give us the help that we need in this wonderful relationship is the Holy Spirit. He is the revealer of the things of God, this is stated in I Corinthians 2:9-11.

We cannot know the beauty of the Word of God without him. If Holy Spirit were not a necessary part of our salvation, then the unsaved could have equal access to the revelations of God! But thank God, He causes us to know The Lord in a very real way! There is a reward for us when we seek the Lord; But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. I Corinthians 2:9 (KJV) This same scripture was originally written in Isaiah 64:9, like this: For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. There is a reward for us when we wait on him (seek him). Whats the reward? Whatever the Father has prepared for you! There is a limitless supply! The voice of the Father is calling his children to draw closer; Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. Isaiah 55:1-3 (KJV) There is an inheritance that he wants to give us, there are secrets that he wants to reveal! Come and sit at his feet, fellowship with Him and let him tell you of the beauty of his love for you! Time spent in the presence of God is more valuable than any material possession. John15:7 is calling us to abide in His presence continually. Let Gods presence be our place of dwelling. I trust and pray that the Holy Spirit will open your understanding.
