General Information and Highlights

Activated Carbon is used to rid the incoming water of various
organic impurities and oxidants such as free chlorine, taste
odor, color etc. The carbon has high internal porosity and
therefore a large internal surface area. The impurities are
removed by either an adsorption or a reduction process.
