Psychology is the science of the mind and behavior. The word "psychology" comes from the Greek word psyche meaning "breath, spirit, soul", and the Greek word logia meaning the study of something. According to Medilexicon's medical dictionary, psychology is "The profession (clinical psychology), scholarly discipline (academic psychology), and science (research psychology) concerned with the behavior of humans and animals, and related mental and physiologic processes." so psychology may also include the study of the mind and behavior of animals. (Nordqvist. C, Medical News Today, 22 Jun 2009 - 7:00 PST). 2. What does Psychology include/relate? Psychology was related with many fields such as, Personality, Social, Educational, Comparative, Cognitive or anything else. Personality psychology is concerned to enduring patterns of behavior, thought, and emotion in individuals, commonly referred to as personality. Social psychology is the study of how humans think about each other and how they relate to each other. Social psychologists study such topics as the influence of others on an individual's behavior, and the formation of beliefs, attitudes, and stereotypes about other people. Educational psychology is the study of how humans learn in educational settings, the effectiveness of educational interventions, the psychology of teaching, and the social psychology of schools as organizations. Comparative psychology refers to the scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of non-human animals, especially as these relate to the phylogenetic history, adaptive significance, and development of behavior.Cognitive psychology studies cognition, the mental processes underlying mental activity. Understanding of human nature, like to know what the basic needs of humans, even people feel unable to meet their own needs. What is the driving force people to behave differently. 2. Help to adapt and solve problems in their own minds as to how to treat their mental health. How to overcome inferiority complex. How to resolve conflicts. And eliminate any concerns you. 3. Makes decisions about themselves and others better. I can understand and adapt yourself to the others.
