Therefore, it is a popular expression that says : He that will steal an egg will steal an ox. Bad things are always and always increasing. In addition, when someone in bullying a person, the enmity for that person will increase along with his acts. Firstly, he will push him or hit him with an object, but in a few weeks he can get down to something even worse. How we could prevent it? This is a very difficult question. Firstly, we can prevent it by trying to explain to our friends what is bullying and why it is not good. This is a small thing that every person can do, no matter how old or how powerful is he. Then, when we see a person harm

who has been bullied, we should try to talk to that person, to understand him just to see that he is not alone and he can cope with this difficult problem. Also, when the bully will see that he has some people around him, maybe he will think again next time about disturbing him. Moreover, if it happens to be the victim of a bully, you should try not to react to his rude remarks and even do not talk to him. Try to make friends as much as you can and if the inevitable happens you should never hide this. In this way, it will be, for sure, at least a friend or even your family who will be able to help you in this uncomfortable situation.

Racism

1. In terms of racism, one of the main causes is ignorance. Ignorance based on false perceptions, stereotypes, family background and lack of knowledge. This attitude is strongly imposed by the family from the very beginning of someones life. 2. In Romania, the racism is a very big problem because here live a great number of minorities and this leads to discrimination. For example, a lot of honest gypsies are discriminated every day just because some of them are robbing or begging. Instead of trying to give them a proper education, we discriminate them and this is not the right solution. 3. From my point of view, in spite of all the efforts to control this problem, the racism in Romania is getting from bad to worse. Also, maybe the media has a major role in this attitude because every day we hear news about gypsies who are robbing or Hungarians who

do not respect us. But we should not blame only the media for the racism, because nowadays society is imposing this vicious behavior. 4. Firstly, it is a fine line between what I would like to happen and what will really happen. As far as I am concerned, the racism and stereotypes should disappear. Maybe my opinion is based on the fact that I am part of a small country, which is not so in the good books and not rarely I am a victim of this type of behavior. However, I believe that in the future, racism will be at the same level as today because in this world there will always be big powers and poor countries and the rich will always discriminate the poor. This is not a lack of optimism; this is a sad, but real thing. 5. To stamp racism, as much as we can, there are only 3 things to do: educate, educate and educate. I think that the real cause of racism is the lack of education, in other words, the ignorance. However, this is a very tough task because there are people who do not want a change, they simply stick to their guns. Therefore, we can do a lot of projects on this theme, we can organize sessions or whatever we want, but there will always be a lot of people who will completely ignore us. However, you never know what you can do till you try. Also, another measure that could be taken against racists is penal punishment, but this would be very difficult to implement due to the lack of cooperation from the most important people in the world. 6. In my opinion, the best punishments for those guilty of racism is a big fine and roughly 2 months in prison. 7. As far as I am concerned, I am completely sure that racism is taught. For example, children learn this attitude from their first experience outside their house: the parents do not agree with the fact that they could play with gypsy children or other nationalities. From that moment, that small child feels that it is something abnormal with that kind of people. 8. Racism is a very controversial subject nowadays, therefore there are

a lot of films that deal with it. For example: Guess Whos Coming to Dinner, Do The Right Thing, A Raisin In The Sun, To Kill a Mockingbird. I have to admit that I have not seen so many films of this type, but that class discussion we had aroused my interest, so I will surely watch each of them. 9. Like any other thing, there are films who promote racial stereotypes (experts say: The toy, AMERICAN HISTORY X) and films which incriminate them. However, I do not think that racism is taught by films, it is surely a family and society developed behavior.
