Its so important to know your role as an individual and as a Pastor. God tells us where we should be in every point of time. So the goals are based on where God wants us to be at every point of time. That is broken down in smaller unit so that everyone know there role and carry out effectively for the overall goal of the ministry. The moment the man of God say something they become policy. From that point they are being broken down to region, to zones, to groups and then to individuals churches. A long term goal is set, a plan for the next 10 years and then we begin to broke it down to individual level. Every year the plan is broken down on what is going to happened, what we should do, how we shall do what to do, and when to be, to become what we should be. The process of planning will ensure that we have the desire goal achieve. To have sustainable success deffinently is not an accident, there has to be plan. Until we follow the plan we cannot have a sustainable achievement. Every one of us ought to function within the grace and to have that done, we have to get ourselves into the plan that the ministry has, that is broken down to you which you must work within to give you the desire results. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Having sustainable success. How to internalized the goal set. (Goals are based by the overall goal.) Clarity of purpose. Honest analysis of the state of your current church. Articulate the goals, clearly define them in right. We will drive excellent and establish standards for the goals. We would determine our strategy. We will produce our documented plan of action. We will achieve our goals.

We have to understand how to plan within the plan that has been giving to us. For us to be able to measure our success. For us to determined our achievement. Where there is no plan you sure cannot determined your success. The Holy Spirit will not give us something to do if he knows we cant achieve. The ability to achieve it is in the instruction. How the word of God will get to the prison, hospitals, school, hotels, that is the thinking of a pastor. A. You have to Internalized the goal. The ownership of goals is the key success factor in establishing the overall goal of the ministry. You lay claim of goal and it becomes your goal. Moses saw the commandment differently, he internalized the commandment that was given but the Israelite that he gave the commandment to they saw it as dos and donts of God. Moses didnt saw it that way because he internalized it, there was an ownership of the goals. To him this is the revelation of love of God, this is the revelation of the character of God and that is the way he related with it. To internalized the goals we have to personalized the goals set to us by our senior pastor. B. Recognize that you are responsible for achieving these goals. God is depending on you to achieve it. By the time God said for us to do it means the ability to do it has been released. It means we have the authority, we are packed up to have it done. I take personal responsibility for the achievement of the goals.

2. Clarity of purpose A. There has to be focus. Focus is important to ensure that there is no distraction and that we achieve the assignment that has been given to us. I am focus I know what Im expecting to do. Goals has to do with where, what and when Where am I going? (In my catchment area, with rhapsody of realities) What do I want to achieve? (freely distribute in the hotels in my catchment area) When? (Is it 6 months, is it 1 year, there has to be a definite time.) B. Objective Why? The reason for where, what when? The purpose has to be clear to us. Why are you delivering the outcome? Why should it be at this time? C. Mission How to achieve the destination. The outcome or the timing. How you hope to get to where you want to get to. D. Strategy How do you hope to get there. If I know what I have to distribute this year, why 20% in my catchment area, then I have to know how am I going to achieve it. How am I going to get it, how am I going to make the require timing. 3. Honest analysis of the state of your current church Ive got to analyses the current status of my church. I have to do an objective analyses of my church. Why is the church where it is? Why does it exist fore? How visible is the church and his activities currently in your catchment area? Are you making impact? Is the ministry being fed in your catchment area? The church exist where you are as a channel to bring Gods light to that area, to bring the life of God in that area, to establish righteousness in that area. Ask yourself in your catchment area do we have enough TV program? Remember the same people God send you to change, are the same people that are being bombarded by all negative devices, through publication and various media. How much impact are you making? We have the material to change the life of anyone in His word. We see ourselves as custodian of these material to change the lives of those in our catchment area. God elevate us to see what they cannot see, to understand what they dont understand so we can teach them and bring them direction, bring light to their world. Thats why your exist fore. You are analysis the state of your church. An honest analysis of how much impact you are making in your catchment area. People are being bombarded with lies, with destructive materials, what can destroy them, what keep them far away from God. God is looking up to you, God need someone to speak for him. God need to talk to someone though someone and thats the reason youre there. That is the reason people are coming to my church, they are there for me to train them for us to reach our catchment area.

PRC 2012 Evangelist Eddy Owase Day 3

God anoint your eyes for you to see what that member ought to be. Even more then the member knows, you know what this man ought to be, you know where the member ought to go. With the material you are building that individual. Those individual in the church they formed the work force for you to reach your catchment area. Self-examination, you take evaluation and you take that from time to time. How far have you gone? What impact are you making in your catchment area? How do you measured the impact? How visible is your church? What percentage meets at weekly basis? What is the percentage retainers of the first timers? How many are now in foundation school? How many of the first timers are involved in the cell system? You use the results of the analyses to review current practices and process with the view to continuous improvement for growth and expansion. For your church to grow from a 50 member church to 100 member church somethings have to be done. Church is not you go out and bring people to church and next week you bring again people to church when they come what do you do with them? Why do you need to bring the people? What are they in church for? What is the aim? What is the reason for going out to win souls? They are in church for what? They are there to be disciple. Christ wins you and builds you to win other. That is the process. There is a process of building, we are building them to become what God has mark them to be, to be effective in the kingdom. To see the way God want them to see, to act the way God wants them to act, to fulfill their purpose on earth, to show forth the praises of Him. You have the material to build them, when they are build they become the man that God has planned for them to be and then they go out to win others. What do you use to do this? Materials, they formed the work formed to reach out with these materials. You dont go to warfare without ammunitions. These are people faced with negative forces, with the forces of darkness, you are there to contain with the negative forces, to deliver them out of darkness, to transform them and make them champions that God has made them to be. When we do our analysis we are able to come to term with reality with the current status of our church. Then we are able to know how to re-plan, how to reposition the church for their zone. All this we do from time to time. We analysis and then we reposition for better results and we do that continuously. There is such a thing as

4. Articulate the goals, clearly define them in write. Articulate the goals given to you in a way you understand, and clearly define them in writing. Ensure that the goals are specific. How many rhapsody do I intent to distribute in my catchment area. Is it 10.000 copys to be distributed and another 10.000 to be sold. Be specific and write them down. They must be measurable and achievable. Your goals must be realistic. Your goals must be time-bound. You should achieve it within a period. Its time bound, its realistic, it is achievable, it measurable and your specific. What is expected of me? What is expected of my church? You have to know your catchment area. Have an understanding of your environment. I know what goes on in my environment. Never see yourself as one of the people in your catchment area, everybody has an house I have my house, everybody has a job I have my job, everybody have their beliefs I have what I believe. That is not the way you should see yourself, in your catchment area, in your city, in your locality where you are, you are Gods number one, you are his voice, you are His light, you are the one. Your words matter in your sphere of contact you have authority in the realm of the spirit over your catchment area. What you want is what should happened in your catchment area. You should know what goes on in your environment. You should know the life in your catchment area. You should know about the business in your catchment area. You should know everything about your catchment area. Your locality dont be ignorant of it, because you are Gods eyes in that place, so you are the one who speaks for God. You are the one who decide what happened in that place. That is the position God has placed you. You are not just someone who work for a place in one corner of the streets, everybody is in different places, Im in one corner of my locality and they know what they belief, I know what I belief. That is not it. You are Gods spokesman. Thats the way you see yourself. Theres such a thing of you dominating your environment in your spirit. You take charge, from time to time you pray for your locality, you pray for your catchment area. On your knees you decide what should happened. There is such a thing as area bombardment, you bombard you area from the realm of the spirit, you take care of it and then you move in the ministry materials, you move in the TV. program and you find out people are falling into place, they are responding as they should. If you are in your area not conscious of who you are, not conscious of what you carry, not conscious of your position, you can be just there as one of the people, then you cant make the necessary impact. You might be 50 member church today but how big is your church in your spirit? What do you think of yourself? What do you think of your church? What do you see? Are you seeing a 50 member church or are you seeing a large congregation and see thousands. That helps you to strategies how you make impact with ministry materials, with what we have. It counts how you see yourself. There are two kinds of people. From time to time there are given goals. Sometimes you can see these goals as dos and donts. They say we should distribute this, we were told to do this, they said we should sign in on wikisozo, they said we should do 500 on Yookos. To you its an instruction so you have to obey, but you have not internalized it. You have not personalized it. When you personalized It, it becomes your property, it becomes your life! You should see like; this is what God wants us to do now and God is depending on me to do it. Ministry is not supposed to be a burden, ministry is exciting because of the miracle element in ministry. Remember we were called to live a life of faith. Ministry is by faith. Is a life of faith is not based on the size of the congregation, the moment you say you can do it, you are creating it in the realm of the spirit.

5. Drive excellent In other words establish standards for the goals. We establish standards for the goals so that the expectation is clear. We make the vision clear. To my leaders, to my members it clear where we are going to. How were going to get there. Quality: 1. Excellent 2. Good 3. Poor Dont stay with good, but excellent. Set standards, establish standards and then quality. We were born with excellent in our spirit. We do excellent things. You have to exceed your expectation. The expectation is 10.000 copies when you do 15.000 copy that is called excellent. The goals of 10.000 is measurable, is achievable, is realistic, is time bound and you have exceeding it. If you just meet the outcome that is good. If you meet the expectation that is good. Below expectation is poor. Go for excellent, exceed expectation. Time limit Outcome was delivered before the deadline. There is a lifeline to conclude it, to finish it. 6 months, 1month or two weeks of one year at the end of the time line I achieve it before the time line that is excellent. I have exceeded before the life line set. I have met my goals before the life line set that is excellent. I met it at the exact time that is good. I couldnt meet up, I try that is poor. Dont stay in the class of poor. Value add it Goals accomplish below the expected cost. Excellent is at cost. You achieve your goals, you accomplish your goals below the expected cost. Carry out a project with the exact budget that is good. The outcome was executed with over budget that is poor.

6. Determined your strategy. When you are giving goals sometimes you are giving the strategy to use. Your Pastor tells you the strategy to use. Sometimes you can also develop your strategy because you understand your catchment area. You are acquainted with the work force you have. You are internalize the goals and you put them together even as you pray you see and understand what you ought to do then you are able to develop your strategy. Your strategy is develop. The purpose determines the how? The peculiarity in the catchment area must be taken in consideration why determined the strategy. Your understanding over your environment makes a lot of difference. You know what goes on in your environment, the kind of things that drive your environment, you know the nature of business and the city structure of your locality. That determines the strategy that you adopt. You can localize your strategy to achieve your desire goals. Your draw up the detail strategy to accomplish each of the goals. You may decide as one of your strategy to set up three different outreach team. Maybe you set as goal for a church is target at market winning and they know when they meet, how they meet, when they have the time and when they dont have the time. The church is establish to meet there need. What strategy can be adopted based on your understanding of your catchment area. Strategy is very important. What works for you is what you use, if what you are using in your church is producing results for you then I have to understand it and I have to look at my locality if it will work then I adopt it with speed. Yookos for example: You have to have a strategy, the moment Pastor announce that Yookos competition kicked off, I sat down with speed to think of the strategy to use. We thought it out, we worked it out, we put it to work and it produce result for us. Without strategy you find yourself making announcement, making announcement and the people dont understand what you are saying. Youre making it clumsy to your work force. Know the people that God gave to you, know the work force that God gave to you to value them and to guide them. Dont lose those you shouldnt lose.

7. Determine the project scope and require resources. What is the scope of this project? Creating a beginning strategy and an ending strategy for your plan is very vital. There a beginning and ending because you have develop a scope that you want. Every assignment has a scope and that must be clear so you dont create an open ended assignment. Its not an everlasting assignment. The scope has to be defined. That helps you to stay focus and to achieve what you have to achieve. Timing: There must be a start date and an end date. There must be a time to start and time to end. Everything we have to do has to be within the beginning and the end. Pastor once told me anything that has a beginning without an end is not from God. Dont form the habit of continuously moving the goal of what to achieve and when to achieve it. At the end of the month you move the same goal to the other month. You are moving to goals post and you are keep shifting it and it doesnt help. Recourse require. Count the cost for the assignment. Determined the amount of materials. Know what is needed to reach the gap. What materials do you need? What human resources do you need? How much money do you need? Produce the documented plan of action You have to break your one year goals into strong quarterly target. So the process of quarterly planning begins here. What you plan to achieve within a year break it to quarter. Put your plan of action on paper. Know the important element of documentation. List of activities, a list a task to be carry out. What are you carrying out? What are you going to do? Every little detail you write them out. Then the expected results for each activities task. Ensure you specify the level of quality you want on each task. So those who are executing knows the level of excellent expecting. Bring it down list of activities, and then the quality of the result you want. Those who you assign to execute they know from the beginning what you want to achieve, what you expect of them, the result you expect, without negotiation. The expected date and time of delivery of each activities. The expected date that we have agree on that it should not be open ending. You must have an expecting date and time of delivery of each activities. Specific assignment: Who is carrying out the assignment? Review section: Look what have been done, who is doing what, the expecting result, look at the time line and determined when that has been achieved. When you look at that, that helps you to review what you have done to know whether to change what you have done or not. Produce your finances budget and form your plan of action and specified it in 8 task. Calculate the total cost and then determined how to formed the project and produce another plan if need be to drive the form. These two documents are working document to use by yourself and those who are to be part of the execution team.

PRC 2012 Evangelist Eddy Owase Day 3

Having done all of this remember there is a focus, you got to achieve your goals. Achieve your goals, your set goals must be achieved. So set your sail unleashed your faith and refuse to allow to facts on ground to determined what happened to you. Having done all you have to do, You turn on your faith to achieve it. You unleash your faith and you refuse to allow the facts on ground to limit you. For execution of the detail documented plan effectively deploy the work force assign in your plan. You send them out and provide them with direction for execution in communication for the purpose of their assignment of project. Then the expected result you make it clear to them. The purpose of their assignment and project you make it clear to them. The strategy you make it clear to them. The method you make it clear to them. How to achieve what to achieve you make it clear to them. (Maybe crusade, outreach, put up billboard, banner or just one on one personal evangelize.) Time frame for the commencement and completion of the assignment you make it clear to them. From then you get on the monitory. To monitor the execution actively. Remember you are the one in charge even dough delegated several functions and responsibilities to people you dont leave them out without monitoring. You monitor them you dont applicate what youre supposed to do. You monitor them to execute what they are supposed to do. Never leave without a clear cut plan. When we plan we can have our desire result but never leave without clear plan. When you plan you can change what you want to change and achieve your desire results. When you have a plan you discover that your fears, your concerns are alias you dont have to fear anything you dont have to keep pressure on duty, because you have a plan, you have a direction, you know where youre going to, you know how to reach where youre going to. You know the recourses that you need. You know the money that you need. You know how to get what you need. And then you also know based on your plans of action you know how to unleashed your faith to achieve your desire result. At the end of the day you are able to measure your achievement whether it was excellent , whether you have achieve more than the target, whether you finish before the set time. That helps you to plan further because you have achieve this you set further goals and then based on the plan you also achieve that and then you have an understanding of why the church is where it is and what the church is there to achieve and how to make the church achieve that. You being the Pastor and functioning within the overall goal of the ministry. Carrying out your responsibility achieving your goals and then bringing the presence of God, the presence of the ministry in your catchment area and thereby establishing righteousness in your catchment area which is Gods plan in your life
