III. Overall Project Progress

Please note that all information reported in the remaining sections should reflect progress for this reporting period only. 1) To date, have any elements of project implementation exceeded the original plan? Yes No

If yes, describe your achievements:

Although not initially planned, AFCIG has created a Facebook page for the YHYS initiative at www.facebook.com/yourhealthyoursay . Through this page over 100 persons are following the project online, denouncing malpractices in public hospitals and exchanging useful information on improving the quality of services in public hospitals. Twitter is also being used similarly. This allows other partners to contribute to the dissemination of findings, denounciation and showcasing by sharing posts and tweets. The tools developed for the evaluation and ranking of public hospitals were presented to the Delegation of public health. The delegation has indicated her interest in advocating for the adoption and use of these tools in health centers all across the North West Region once successfully tested in Bamenda 2 Subdivision.

2) What have been the main challenges of your project to date? What, if any, adjustments have you made to your original business plan in order to overcome the challenges and meet your objectives? Challenges:
Computer illiteracy: all community representatives have no computer skills. This rendered the process of training them on the analysis of data from scorecards administered to clients of public hospitals extremely challenging.

Adjustments:
It is proposed that YHYS puts at least one computer at the disposal of the Bamenda District Health Service for the training of Community Representatives on basic computer skills and for use subsequently for the analysis of scorecards. In addition to the sensitization materials initially
