The ELP English Communications Course for Adults by Karen Deetlefts
This learning guide was designed to help students learn key reading and writing strategies. It was produced by the English Literacy Project (ELP) and it features many of the books published in South Africa and carried by Peppercorn. Each of eight sections looks at a different reading. Exercises encourage the reader to read for general, and then for detailed understanding. These are followed by discussion points and by a series of learning points. This is an extensive and rich curriculum that provides both teachers and learners with an excellent foundation for developing skills in independent reading.
