2. Area where Company products are sold: Mahindra products are sold all across India and are exported to countries such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh etc. 3. Basis of Production Planning is done through a management system eDCM. eDCM stands for Electronic Demand Chain Management. DCM is the management of downstream and upstream relationships between customers and suppliers to deliver the best value to the customer at a minimum cost to the whole demand chain. It uses a software tool that bridges the gap between the Customer relationship Management and the Supply Chain Management. In case of unforeseen circumstances such as a recession or an economic downturn, the decision is taken by the Sr. Management group. 4. Flexibility in Production Planning: Production planning is done on a monthly basis. The Marketing team makes a plan and the plan is given to the production department. 7. Material Purchase Use of A,B,C categorization of bought out material Criteria for quantity to be ordered: Tentative production plan on monthly basis. 8. Receipt of Raw material or semi processed material is done through self approved vendors. System of receiving bought out material: Raw material is received at the Material gate and is then sent to the Material Store. Quantity Checks: Done at the Material Gate. Quality: Done at the Vendor end.
