Athletic Scholarship/Tuition Discount Athletes or varsity players may enjoy full or partial tuition and/or fees waiver. Grantees are recommended by the Office of Sports Development (OSD). Office of Sports Development The DLSU Pep SquadThe Office of Sports Development is responsible for the development and implementation of the University's sports program through the recruitment and training of varsity athletes to represent De La Salle Univeristy in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA), University Games (UniGames) and other prestigious tournaments and invitationals, both within and outside the country. When requested, OSD provides advice and service to La Salle Athletic League (LSAL), Student Sports Clubs and other members of the De La Salle Schools. Vision A Sports Development Program guided by the traditional Lasallian values of religio, mores, and cultura and responsive to the physical development needs of individuals is in place and implemented parallel to the multidisciplinary academic programs of De la Salle University. Mission Develop and implement a realistic Sports Development Program which will: Maintain the dominant position of De La Salle University in the field of sports; Encourage and support sports competitions among students; and Encourage and support the formation of Student Sports Clubs.

Ateneo De Manila University


Athletic Scholarship In keeping with its tradition of excellence, the Ateneo de Manila University is reputed for its top performance in collegiate sports competitions such as the University Athletics Association of and for developing national team athletes. The Ateneo student-athlete strives to achieve a holistic development, achieving awards not only in athletics but also in academics. The Athletic Scholarship is awarded to student-athletes who have the potential to excel in athletics while maintaining a good academic standing. Aside from being financially challenged, applicants must have outstanding athletic ability and must be a recipient of awards in their specific sport. Applicants must obtain and complete the Athletic Scholarship Application Form (ASAF) from the University Athletics Office and secure the recommendation of the Ateneo coach and program head for the sport. The following are the sports which are granted scholarship slots: Athletics, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Chess, Fencing, Football, Judo, Lawn Tennis, Softball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tae kwon do, and Volleyball. University Athletics Office The University Athletics Office manages and supports all the Ateneo de Manila Universitys accredited athletic teams, from the Preschool thru to the Loyola Schools. The offices of the University Athletics are housed in the historic Blue Eagle Gym on Ateneos Loyola Heights Campus.
Vision: Fostering integrity in academic and athletic excellence as a service to the community, the University Athletics Office aims to develop student-athletes who embrace the Ignatian spirit of leadership, generosity, and magis; and who become role models for the Filipino youth all for the greater glory of God. Mission: In its pursuit to realize the vision governing Ateneo Sports, the University Athletics Office seeks to engage in: Promoting character development in student-athletes, including cooperation, teamwork, leadership and loyalty; molding student- athletes into becoming role-models of the community; fostering Jesuit values in the total development of the student-athletes through sports. Promoting academic achievement, engagement in university community life, and leadership development as needs in developing well-rounded student-athletes. Setting high standards for winning in interscholastic and national level competitions thereby enhancing visibility and prestige of the university through sports. Creating an integrated sports program involving the elementary, secondary, and tertiary units of the University for identification, training and development. Providing modern, scientifically valid training methods, facilities and equipment in the development and training of its student-athletes; and Facilitating the process of determining the role-models from the student-athletes who are to act as centrepieces for socialization in the university community.
