Merits Abu Bakr As-Siddique

All praise be to Allah the Lord Sovereign of the universe and may Allah praise His Prophet Muhammad (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam), his household and his companions.

Most of the things in this article are copied from a book Fazail-e-Sahaba which is referenced and edited by Shaik Zubair Ali Zai.

Narrated Amr bin Al-Aas (Radi Allah Anhu): The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) deputed me to read the Army of Dhat-as-Salasil. I came to him and said, "Who is the most beloved person to you?" He said, Aisha." I asked, "Among the men?" He said, "Her father." I said, "Who then?" He said, "Then 'Umar bin Al-Khattab." (Sahi Bukhari: 3662)

Narrated Muhammad bin Al-Hanafiya (Radi Allah Anhu): I asked my father (Ali bin Abi Talib), "Who are the best people after Allah's Apostle (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam)?" He said, "Abu Bakr." I asked, "Who then?" He said, "Then 'Umar. (Sahi Bukhari: 3671)

Abu Bakr (Radi Allah Anhu) is mentioned in the Quran, Allah says: If you do not aid The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) - Allah has already aided him when those who disbelieved had driven him out [of Makkah] as one of two, when they were in the cave and he said to his companion, "Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us." And Allah sent down his tranquillity upon him and supported him with angels you did not see and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowest, while the word of Allah - that is the highest. And Allah is exalted in Might and Wise. (AtTawba: 40)

The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said: "The person who has favoured me most of all both with his company and wealth, is Abu Bakr. If I were to take a Khalil other than my Lord, I would have taken Abu Bakr as such, but (what relates us) is the Islamic brotherhood and friendliness. All the gates of the Mosque should be closed except the gate of Abu Bakr." (Sahi Bukhari: 3654)

Abu Huraira (Radi Allah Anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said: Who has observed fast among you today? Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him) replied: It is I. He (the Holy Prophet again) said: Who among you followed the bier today? Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him) replied: It is I. He (the Holy Prophet again) said: Who among you led a poor man today? Abu Bakr (Allah he pleased with him) replied: It is I. He (again) said: Who among you visited

an invalid today? Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him) said: It is I. Upon this the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Anyone in whom (these good deeds) are combined will certainly, enter paradise. (Sahi Muslim: 2242)

Narrated Anas bin Malik (Radi Allah Anhu): The prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) once climbed the mountain of Uhud with Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'Uthman. The mountain shook with them. The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said (to the mountain), "Be firm, O Uhud! For on you there are no more than a Prophet, a Siddiq and two martyrs. (Sahi Bukhari: 3686)

Narrated Abu Musa (Radi Allah Anhu): While I was with The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) in one of the gardens of Medina, a man came and asked me to open the gate. The prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said to me, "Open the gate for him and give him the glad tidings that he will enter Paradise." I opened (the gate) for him and It was Abu Bakr. (Sahi Bukhari: 3693)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi Allah Anhu): I heard Allah's Apostle (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) saying, "Anybody who spends a pair of something in Allah's cause will be called from all the gates of Paradise, "O Allah's slave! This is good. He who is amongst those who pray will be called from the gate of the prayer (in Paradise) and he who is from the people of Jihad will be called from the gate of Jihad, and he who is from those' who give in charity (i.e. Zakat) will be called from the gate of charity, and he who is amongst those who observe fast will be called from the gate of fasting, the gate of Raiyan." Abu Bakr said, "He who is called from all those gates will need nothing," He added, "Will anyone be called from all those gates, O Allah's Apostle?" He said, "Yes, and I hope you will be among those, O Abu Bakr." (Sahi Bukhari: 1897)

There are numerous merits of Abu Bakr As-Siddeeq (Radi Allah Anhu) these were few of them. In the end we supplicate to Allah that make our hearts full off Abu Bakrs (Radi Allah Anhu) love and all the companions & increase that love.
