Course Objectives: To equip students with various issues related to analog and digital communication such as modulation, Demodulation, Noise handling, Data conversion and Multiplexing. To impart Knowledge on various communication techniques used in the modern world.

Course Pre-requisites: Introduction to Signals and Systems. Good Knowledge in Engineering Mathematics, especially Fourier Transform and its properties. Exposure to physics of satellites, light propagation, etc.

Expected outcome of the course: Students would be familiar with various modulation schemes and multiplexing techniques. Students would have sound knowledge data communication and network techniques. Students would be aware of latest technologies in communication like satellite and optical fibre communications.
