Our youth ministry at DDCC performed a skit called, The Red Balloon. Its a short skit to illustrate that a red balloon is always a red balloon. It doesnt matter how you were raised or what angle you look at it or how much education you have, a red balloon is a red balloon, whether you believe it or not, thats the truth. Our culture wants us to believe that there are many truths that can lead us to heaven. I hope that you know and understand that the Bible is clear on this point. No, not that balloons are red, but that there can be only one truth and all others are false. I am committed to the truth of Jesus Christ, to His death and resurrection. I am committed to the Word of God as the actual words of God. This is the message that I desire to speak and to live. This is the message that I desire to share in a culture that is confused about what is the truth. Word of Life is committed to the Word of God and I am thrilled to be a part of this team. Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support to help us share the truth about Jesus Christ right here in Western Canada.

Highlights of the Ministry Year

Superbowl - November 25th, 2011 - I was very thankful for the team of workers that helped to make this another exciting event for youth groups in the area. It is always thrilling to see youth make decisions for Christ. Krazy Kids Day - March 24th, 2012 - The same team of workers helped to make this Saturday an unforgettable day for children. We praise the Lord for the children that prayed to ask Jesus into their life that morning. Fas Car - Several churches took advantage of the Fas Car Hot Wheels race track as a tool to reach out creatively into the community. Resonate - Our whole family enjoyed having this WOL ministry team in the area for a week in May. Their theme focused on Truth and they connected with local youth groups, churches and private high schools. New Leadership for WOL Canada - April 2012 - It was a privilege to travel to Owen Sound and be a part of the installation weekend for our new Canadian director, Scott & Rachel Foreman. Conferences - It was good to make appearances at the Nipawin Bible College Missions Conference, the Millar Bible College Missions Conference, the Breakforth Conference in Edmonton and two home school conferences.

Summer Activities & Prayer

July 6 - 29th - Please be in prayer for Reynell as she will be participating in a WOL ministry team called Student Fusion. They will be traveling and doing ministry in South Africa and Mozambique for 2 weeks. She will spend the first week at WOL headquarters in Schroon Lake, NY meeting the team , learning the music and drama and how to share her faith. August 12-17 Aiden to attend Camp Kadesh with some friends. August 19-24 Zach is going to camp Kadesh for a week with some friends. Please continue to pray for Janets physical and emotional health. Pray for wisdom as we seek answers from our Drs and strength to know how to deal with what might be more permanent disabilities. Pray for me as I strive to keep my life balanced and prioritized without going completely insane! Summer Home Improvements - we will be replacing the shingles this summer due to some hail damage from a hail storm last summer. We are thankful that our insurance will cover this expense. We have applied to the SK Home Repair Program - Adaptation for Independence to receive some funds to make more changes on our house so Janet can be more independent and to make it safe for her to get in and out of our house. We have applied for a deck, French doors out to the deck, a wheel chair lift and sidewalks to the front and to the back of our house. Please pray that this funding would come through for us quickly and the construction could happen this summer.
