8 Making Cables
When the power supply distance is more than 68 m, users need to configure the power distribution cabinet nearly. The usage of the cables is the same as the case that "The distance of power supply is less than or equal to 25 m.."
By default, two power modules are allocated for each router in this manual.
Based on the DC power supply distance between the router and the power distribution cabinet, two methods of power distribution are as follows: The distance of power supply is less than or equal to 25 m. In this case, the 16mm^2 cables are used to connect the power distribution cabinet and the power module. Table 8-1 shows the quantity of the needed cables. In this case, the distribution box is used to transit the power cables. The 50mm^2 power cables are used between the customer's power distribution cabinet and the distribution box; the 16mm^2 cables are used between the distribution box and the power module. When stripping the insulation layer of the cables, do not damage the appearance of the wire conductor of the cables. The "L1" of the conductor cannot be longer than "L" of the bare crimping terminal by 2 mm. Step 2 Cover the terminal on the bare conductor, and make the bare crimping terminal touch the insulating layer of the cables tightly, as shown in Figure 8-2. Huawei provides the complete cables that need to be cut and made on site as required. 2.5 mm^2 C19 cables Connects the AC distribution box and AC power module. The end that connects the AC distribution box needs to be made up on site. Table 8-4 shows the quantity of the needed cables when the router adopts the AC power supply. After the cord end terminal is crimped, the length of the bare conductor cannot exceed 1 mm.
Step 4 Use the crimping tool that are fit for the wire cables with the 2.5 mm^2 cross-sectional area to crimp the header of the cord end terminal and the wire conductor, as shown in Figure 8-17. Figure 8-17 Crimping the cord end terminal and the cable
Step 5 After crimping the cord end terminal, check the maximum crimped width. The width of the crimped terminal should be less than 2.4 mm. Step 6 Paste the labels that are 70 mm away from the front end of the cord end terminal. Paste "L" on the brown wire cable, "N" on the blue wire cable, and "PE" on the yellow and green wire cable. Differentiate these three wire cables through L1/N1/PE1, L2/N2/PE2, and L3/N3/PE3. Figure 8-18 Made-up cables
