Nom-Regular Research Student (Hiseiki-Sei )Auditing Student with Credit (Kamokutou-Rishuu-Sei ), Auditing Student (Choukou-Sei ), Special Auditing Student (Tokubetsu-Choukou-Gakusei ), Student (Kenkyuu-Sei ), Special Research Student Kenkyuu-Gakusei ) Nom-Regular Research Students (Hiseikisei ) collectively include students other than those who register in the Schools of SOKENDAI (regular student: Seikisei ). SOKENDAI recognizes five categories of Nom-Regular Research Students: Auditing Student with Credits (Kamokutou-Rishuusei ), Auditing Students (Choukousei ), Special Auditing Students (Tokubetsu-Choukou-Gakusei ), Research Students (Kenkyuusei ), and Special Research Students (Tokubetsu-Kenkyuu-Gakusei ). Auditing Student with Credits (Kamokutou-Risyuusei ) Students, who are not in courses provided by SOKENDAI but take classes and acquire credits at SOKENDAI Auditing Students (Choukousei ) Students, who are not in courses provided by SOKENDAI but audit classes at SOKENDAI (not acquiring credits) Special Auditing Students (Tokubetsu-Choukou-Gakusei ) Students, who are auditing students accepted from other universities under agreements between those universities and SOKENDAI and who audit classes and acquire credits at SOKENDAI. Research Students (Kenkyuusei ) Students, who are not in courses provided by SOKENDAI, but conduct research activities on specific themes at SOKENDAI. Special Research Students (Tokubetsu-Kenkyuu-Gakusei ) Students, who are research students accepted from other universities under agreements between those universities and SOKENDAI and who receive supervision at SOKENDAI Tuition fee for Nom-Regular Research Students (Hiseikisei-no-Jugyouryou ) Nom-Regular Research Students (Hiseikisei ) must pay the tuition fee listed below by the date determined by the President. Special Auditing Students (TokubetsuChoukou-Gakusei ) and Special Research Students (TokubetsuKenkyuu-Gakusei ) may be exempted from tuition fee if SOKENDAI and the student's university have mutually agreed that no tuition fee is required under an Research (Tokubetsu-

agreement or with a preliminary arrangement between SOKENDAI and the university (the costs and expenses for laboratory practice will be borne by the student). Tuition exemption/postponement is not available to Nom-Regular Research Students (Hiseikisei ). Category Auditing Student with Credits (Kamokutou-Risyuusei ) Auditing Students (Choukousei ) Special Auditing Students (Tokubetsu-Choukou-Gakusei ) Research Students (Kenkyuusei ) Special Research Students (Tokubetsu-Kenkyuu-Gakusei ) Withdrawal, punishment, and removal from register of Nom-Regular Research Students (Hiseikisei ) The rules are the same as for Regular Students (Seikisei ). Issuance of certificates for Nom-Regular Research Students The rules are the same as for regular students. Research period for research students/Special Research Students Research Students and Special Research Students may conduct research for one year from the date of admission. the discretion of the President. A student may, however, request that SOKENDAI use his/her original family name. When SOKENDAI accepts the use of the original family name, SOKENDAI issues all certificates/documents with the original family name.
