Solution Manager Maintenance Optimizer Relevant notes prior to beginning implementation: OSS 1024932 - Maintenance Optimizer: Collective Note

OSS 990534 - Solution Manager Maintenance Optimizer: BC Set OSS 1008717: HTMLViewer: Postdata of length more than 255 gets truncated. *** OSS 1022797: Maintenance Optimizer: Can not select product version *** - OSS 1022797 is fixed by 1008717, OSS 1008717 is supplied in SAPKB70011 *** Support Package Considerations: The new functionality is contained in ST (SAP Solution Manager Tool) support package 9 - SAPKITL419. This ST SP is dependant on BBPCRM SP7 - KU50007 which is dependant on support package stack 10 - SAPKx70010. ST-ICO which is raised to SP7 (SAPK-15077INSTPL) in stack 10, is not required to implement SAPKITL419, but should be implemented along with the rest of support package stack 10.

Prior to configuring the Maintenance Optimizer your minimum system requirements are:

Prior to ST SP10 (SAPKITL420), OSS Note 990534 must be implemented into Solution Manager in order to create program SM_PREP_MAINTENANCE_OPTIMIZER

I was prompted to approve the following message 4 times to create each of the new objects.

Implement OSS note 1008717 to avoid selection issues mentioned in OSS 1022797: Maintenance Optimizer: Can not select product version

You are prompted to create a transport request again.

Check to ensure that note is set to completely implemented and set processing status to Completed.
If you are using Solution Manager Support Package 9 (ST 400 SP09) the configuration procedure can be found as follows: Transaction SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> SAP Solution Manager Implementation Guide -> SAP Solution Manager -> Basic Settings -> Set Up Maintenance Optimizer Call program SM_PREP_MAINTENANCE_OPTIMIZER in SE38, that was provided in OSS note 990534

As of Solution Manager Support Packages level 10 (ST 400 SP10 and above), the procedure can be found in the following location: Transaction SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> SAP Solution Manager Implementation Guide -> SAP Solution Manager -> Advanced Configuration -> Basic Settings -> SAP Solution Manager System -> Change Management -> Set Up Maintenance Optimizer

Use of BC Sets from OSS note 990534 : o Call transaction SCPR20 and activate the following BC Sets in your Solution Manager client: SOLMAN40_MOPZ_TTYP_SLMO_000, SOLMAN40_CHARM_PROXYFACT_001. You must activate them in expert mode with the option "Overwrite everything". You can select expert mode after you have chosen "Activate". If the Solution Manager client is used productively, you must call transaction SCC4 and temporarily remove the 'Production' client role before you activate the BC Sets. Create a new transport request (transaction SE09) in the source client of your Solution Manager system. Unpack the SOLMAN40_MOPZ_TTYP_SLMO_000.zip file from the attachment to this note. Copy the contents of the SOLMAN40_MOPZ_TTYP_SLMO_000.txt file into the transport request. Use transaction SCC1 to import the transport request into your Solution Manager client.

Define a Solution: All systems must be assigned to a Logical Component:

Ensure that you have an Active Solution for each assignment with the correct logical components defined within:

Defining Service Marketplace users:
