DGEN Plummeted with Continuous Fall & Slow Turnover

Losing 76 Points!!
After the big fall of Monday, yesterdays slowing down indicated as if
market is not going to fall by that much. But it was proved wrong today as
DSE DGEN plunged by 76 points. Market tried to show some resistance
initially which later turned into a continuous fall. Unlike yesterday, there
were no rapid ups & downs in the market. Rather the market passed the
trading session with sluggish turnover. Negative mood was felt
everywhere in the market.

Key index of DSE, DGEN ended the day at 4283 marking 76 points of fall.
The market continued with slower turnover today which is worth of BDT
159.3 crore; which was BDT 19.51 crore lower than that of last trading day.
During todays trading session, 259 companies & mutual funds were traded
and among them 33 issues increased, 211 decreased and 15 remained
unchanged. The market saw slow turnover throughout the day.

Fuel & Power lost 2.82% market cap today with more sluggish turnover.
LINDEBD experienced significantly high turnover today with 0.54% decrease
in price. TITASGAS also marked improved turnover but also saw 2.94% fall
in price. Market cap fall was lowest for food & allied sector. Still BATBC
gained 0.46% in price. Cement sector lost 1.28% market cap. LAFSURCEML
itself saw 1.3% decrease in price.
We will need to see some bargain hunting if we are to see a bounce from
the most recent lows but right now, its difficult to imagine investors
confident enough to buy into a market that is being weighed down by
uncertainty, unless we see some affirmative rhetoric or action from HC.
Most trading we are seeing now is based on short term contracts which are
keeping volatility high and price swings wide. As market try to find a
foothold for an attempt to rally traders should be braced for a continuation
to the downside until the charts suggest otherwise.
