"Initiative would be the word to describe Michael Henderson. When he enters the room, he identifies what the team is trying to accomplish and then zeros in on the key factor needed to make the goal a reality. As president of the Business Club, I worked with dozens of officers and club members who were willing to step up and take responsibility for an educational event or a marketing campaign, but Michael tops my list. When I needed something fast in the middle of a meeting, I could count on Michael to see the big picture, grasp why I needed this task done, and actually do, not what I had handed him, but something that would meet our need more effectively than what I had suggested. As our Chief Marketing Officer, he recreated our marketing strategy with a unified focus that really stood above all other marketing on campus.
