Welcome to the first edition of Standing in the Gap online magazine.

It was said only a couple of yours ago by a Muslim extremist that the nation of Islam would take over the world without a single shot fired, the idea being that the Christian population would simply be bred out of existence. It was no more than a generation ago that it was common place that the average Christian family would produce six or more children. Yet those numbers today have dwindled to 2.2, and the reasons are economic. Without a stable income base, the average family just cannot afford to support the larger family group, but know this also: the nation of Islam is continuing to produce those high numbers worldwide. Be aware also: those smaller Christian numbers are dwindling even in our local churches. Take a look at the congregation and see how aged its become. With few young faces to replace the old, the house of God is drifting into decrepitude. So it does little good for a family to lay claim to Christianity unless we continue to educate the youth to be kingdom minded. (Sourced from www.washingtonexaminer.com) Rep. Too often today, the worlds lawmakers are God law-breakers. The fore fathers of this country were God-fearing men. We used to be a God-fearing nation, but not anymore. As children, we believe that weve outgrown our father. Weve become a nation of second year frat boys, all too willing to drop our pants as we moon our Lord and Savior; no longer in fear of drawing Gods angry attention as we thumb our noses at those who would keep his commandments. We live in a nation where Christianity has become a joke. No more than a generation ago we feared the arrival of The Anti-Christ. We feared the coming tribulation that we prayed to God for help. We knew and believed that God was going to take his church up out of here that we wouldnt suffer Armageddon, but even that healthy fear has become a joke. We no longer need Gods protection from that terrible day we no longer believe is coming. Many so called Christian leaders have predicted the rapture; theyve boasted that by Gods inspiration the time was at hand only to be revealed as foolish by the coming dawn, and making foolish the word of God. Any who denies the deity of Christ is by definition, anti-Christ, yet weve come to fear saying such a thing out loud. So allow me to break the ice. We have become an anti-Christ, Obama nation. understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: From our childrens preschool teachers all the way to the highest office in our land, weve hired, appointed, and elected those of sinful lifestyles and liar religions. With smiling faces and outstretched arms they have invited the Christian community to simply accept their heathen ways, and weve passively accepted their invitation. So I ask again, how will you be listed in Gods Book of Remembrance? As one who laid down for their liar religions, whispering the truth of Gods words in basements and alley-ways? Or will you raise your voice with conviction as you state the facts of the doctrine of Christ? Romans 8:41 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Now be warned and rewarded: by speaking the truth aloud, I have been accused of being a bigot, a Nazi, and an abomination (the latter by a devout Christian,) but know also, Ive never been called a heathen and Ive never been called a devil. Though the world may lump me up a bit, when the Lord dusts off the scabs, I hope, in me, he finds a polished jewel. So please allow me to minister on this. Whether you are a pastor, minister, evangelist, or teacher of the word, you are a professional Christian in the employ of Christ, and a Christian whos afraid of speaking the truth is like a professional boxer whos afraid to hit someone or to be struck in return. So put on your head gear and put on your cup; lace up your gloves and boots, have a little courage as you listen to your corner man (Jesus Christ.) Ephesians 6:13-17 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: And always fight the good fight.

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: To each man God has given a measure of faith and its up to us, as parents, to help grow that faith in our children. How difficult a task when the adversary is shouting in their face against those things we would whisper in their ear. Please pray with me: Dear Lord, you know and you can see that the world preached against your doctrines of truth. You hear Lord the outlawing of anyone that would call on your wonderful name in any public place. Know that, today Lord, that as you ask Who will stand in that Gap? Who will stand in there in prayer? that there is one unlikely sinner in the unlikely place, the lobby of a tattoo parlor, who will continue his praise, prayer, and worship as he daily calls on your mighty name.
