Problem: Intake of Ascorbic Acid is very important to the diet of people. It is essential in performing the metabolic functions in the body. Infamous diseases involving the dosage of Ascorbic Acid affects the performance of the people. Researchers have shown the amount of Ascorbic Acid the human body needs. Proper intake of Ascorbic Acid would help in the performance of the body of a person. Proposed Title: A Determination of L - Ascorbic Acid Content of Different Varieties of Citrus Sinensis Project Brief: To determine the effect on the amount of Ascorbic Acid depending on the variety of the Citrus Sinensis according to its source. Specifications: To measure the Ascorbic Acid content of the Orange fruit. To determine if the variety of the Orange fruit affects the Ascorbic Acid content. To be able to recommend the type of Orange with the least and most Ascorbic Acid Content. Conceptual Framework: A researcher had shown that different varieties of the Orange fruit have different Ascorbic Acid content when shaded and exposed. (J. R. Winston, 1947) Two researchers had the same experiment using the Iodometric Method of determining Ascorbic Acid contents of different Citrus Fruits. (A. A. Izuagie and F. O. Izuagie, 2007) Over dosage of Ascorbic Acid affects performance of the human body. ( J. Brody, 1998) Deficiency in Ascorbic Acid causes Disease that affects the health of a person. ( L. Johnson, MD, PhD, 2007) Literature Cited: J. R.
