1) Instrumental and experimental skills Separation, identification and quantification of phytoplankton marker pigments using High Performance Liquid Chromatography from water column and sediments Spectrophotometric measurements of nutrients (N, P, Si) from coastal and estuarine water Spectrofluorometric measurements of bulk and size fractionated chlorophyll Primary production using light and dark bottle method

2) Computation and data analysis skill Highly proficient in data analysis and computation with spreadsheet and database programmes such as Microsoft Excel 2010 and Microsoft Access 2010 Statistical software such as Minitab 16 and R

3) Satellite data retrieval and analysis Capable of accessing and retrieving satellite data sets Expertise in ocean colour image analysis packages such as SeaDas, ODV and Surfer

4) Teaching and Communication skill Having good command over verbal and written English Taught statistics and experimental design course at our laboratory especially aimed at the fresh graduate students

SHIPBOARD EXPERIENCES
More than 300 days on board experience in boats, various coastal and open ocean research vessels where I was involved in time series and transect observation in estuarine and coastal Bay of Bengal water. My shipboard activities were Water sample collection and preservation for trace gases, DO, nutrients, Chlorophyll Onboard filtration of water for Chlorophyll and HPLC analysis Calibration and sample running in HPLC and fluorometer CTD operation and data retrieval Calibration and measurements of routine chemical parameters such as DO, nutrients and productivity
