The Commission is vested with the authority to investigate allegations of misconduct or incapacity of State judges, and to recommend removal or discipline to the Supreme Court where justified. The Commission is comprised of six judges, five lay people and four Florida Bar members. The Chair of the Commission is Miles A. McGrane, III. The Executive Director is Brooke S. Kennerly. Sometimes the Florida JQC is called the Judicial Protection Society. http://www.northcountrygazette.org/2010/02/22/judicial_protection/
