Description
If you want to be fit, live longer, and have more energy, you need to make sure that you move your body. Movement throughout the day has a tremendously beneficial impact on your life. (In part due to the hormetic stress that is put on your mitochondria/”batteries”.) Unfortunately, many of us are not moving our bodies in accordance with the way we were designed and that is a contributing factor to pain, poor posture and performance, and fatigue. So, how can change the way we move? One way is to start doing some simple movement training to teach your body to move the way it was intended. This week, I talk to Austin Einhorn, chief movement jedi and founder of Apiros. Together, we will uncover the importance of the right movement training to increase energy, improve performance, and eliminate pain using movement training. In this podcast, we’ll cover What it means to have good foot health (it is NOT what you think) How the clothes you wear might contribute to fatigue How stretching the right way can prevent disease and how most people are stretching in a way that causes poor health How to optimize your exercise for better results How to fix tightness in the lower back Why sitting is bad for your posture (and how to correct it) The ”Third World” squat – why you should be able to perform a deep squat and why most people can’t How movement training can make you a better runner (and avoid injuries) How you can strengthen your glutes The right way to walk How most people trying to lose weight train in ways that aren’t conducive to successful weight loss Why most women are afraid of weight training (and why they shouldn’t be) The main reasons why you should listen to your body when you do any type of movement
