Description
Back in 2010, in the midst of the recession, I got a call from one of our podcast listeners who invited me to come to Australia to speak to 1000 investors interested in cheap US real estate. I had never been Down Under and was absolutely thrilled to meet the beautiful people from that little island. They had an amazing opportunity. The US dollar had tanked and the Aussie dollar soared. This made the already heavily discounted foreclosures in America about half as cheap to the Australians. We were absolutely flooded with these investors who came over and knocked on our doors - day in and day out. We set up big tour busses to show them various cities in the US where properties could be purchased for cheap. It was a moving target though. Because some neighborhoods were entirely distressed, with boarded up empty houses. These investors took big risks, but for many it paid off handsomely. Today, the US dollar is stronger, so as these Aussies take their cash flow back home it's worth even more. What deal! With us today is one of my favorite Aussie investors. He just surprised his wife and daughter with a trip to the U.S. to attend our East Coast Property Showcase in Orlando and to meet with our team from Pittsburgh. Andrew bought many properties in Pittsburgh and is here to talk about his experience and how that turned out for him. Get the show notes and more at: www.RealWealthShow.com
