Thanks for listening, and enjoy the “tour” of Madison! The Vlog, the blog, the music minute, and the E-Newsletter...All the happenings around Madison, right at your fingertips It has been an exciting week around Madison, and the team has been diligent about capturing all of the happenings around the city so they can share them with you! We had the chance to interview NFL Legend Donald Driver this week, and plan to share that conversation on next week’s episode + Vlog. Chris Reese hosts the “My Move” segment with guest Josh Erickson Josh Erickson finished his undergrad here in Madison, then moved away to pursue his career. His heart stayed in Madison, though, and eventually led him and his family back to the city. Josh loves sports, so the local softball team provided a great way for him to reconnect with the community. Madison offers an amazing array of outdoor recreation activities, so there is something for everyone, from softball to running to biking and boating on the lake. If you are looking for a few places that capture the culture of Madison, Josh recommends checking out Union Terrace, the Old Fashioned, and the Weary Traveler. The Shake The lake music festival was also on his list, and well as a visit to the capitol building. Streaming, social networking and how it relates to live entertainment Max Fergus And Elijah Isenberger are two entrepreneurs in Madison who are building a start-up that will revolutionize how musicians and fans connect and share content. Live Undiscovered Music, or LÜM, is a music discovery and streaming platform that focuses on giving power to up and coming artists and dedicated music lovers so that more musicians can earn a livable income through their passion for music, and fans can discover that music in a way that does not currently exist. The LÜM platform is based on social networking, which allows the application to increase user to user and user to artist engagement unlike any other music or social media platform. By rethinking the interaction between social media and streaming, they hope that LÜM will eventually become a digital “talent pool” for live entertainment around the world.
