Description

From spirits to hand sanitizer. The world has changed since our last episode just two weeks ago. Today, we’re going to talk about how a couple of local New Orleans businesses are working to help the city respond to the COVID19 pandemic. Join me as I talk with Sal Bivalacqua of Seven Three Distilling and Jess Bourgeois of Lula Restaurant Distillery. These two business owners essentially used their expertise to create a new business in four days, shifting from the manufacture of spirits for drinking to the production of hand sanitizer. We talk alcohol, hand sanitizer, Bourbon and more in this episode of the Beyond Bourbon Street podcast. Resources Check out Seven Three Distilling Company, then be sure to visit when you can. Their website talks about their company name, product offerings, and tour. We'll be doing a Beyond Bourbon Street event there once life returns to normal. Lula Restaurant-Distillery is a unique place to enjoy excellent cuisine with views of a working distillery. We will work with Jess at Lula to host a Beyond Bourbon Street event in the future. Both Lula and Seven Three are currently open for to go purchases. If you are in New Orleans, consider placing an order and supporting them. Here are several articles discussing New Orleans neighborhoods. This is probably worth doing an entire episode about in the future!
