The difference between Aflac and Health Insurance Aflac Facts The Solution: Aflac Products Offered Personal Short Term Disability Specified Disease (Cancer Program) Personal Accident Injury Plan Weekly Rates Implementation

What is the difference between Aflac and regular Health Insurance?

Health insurance is designed to meet the median needs of an employee group. Health insurance was not created to pay out-of-pocket costs.

Health insurance covers the medical bills, pays the doctors and the hospitals.
Aflac pays the employee regardless of their health insurance coverage and allows them to spend that money anywhere they see it fit.

Aflac benefits are supplemental, pre-tax, and independent of any health insurance benefits. Aflac policies are voluntary, guaranteed renewable and fully portable at discounted group rates. Aflac pays most claims within four days There is no coordination of benefits. There is no employer sponsorship required.
