According to the United Nations major warlike conflicts are those military problems that imply a thousand deaths in battle per year , while the *Real Academy of the Spanish language defines war like the lack or breaking of peace in between two or more nations.

* Real academia espaola

Even though there isn't an exact number of all the conflicts that are developing in this moment, there is a defined number of nations in crisis that derive into violent situations , some because of fights for natural resources and others because of diplomatic conflicts linked with the independence of a state. That number is seven. Since we dont exactly know when a developed hostile conflict or a potential conflict actually become a war and depending on the geopolitical analysis of the nation with valid armed conflicts, we can count an approximate of 60 bellicose situations but we are going to see those which the world sees with more precaution.

Denominated the Drug War. Its a national conflict that goes against the drug dealers and there work and its considered important because of the number of deaths that it has caused.

2. Latin America: (Colombia, Peru and Venezuela)

These are the countries that live with violence in there territories because of different historical reasons and even though they live in relative peace there are many deaths.

3. Africa: (Sierra Leona, Ivory coast and the Congo)

In Sierra Leona and in the Ivory Coast there are conflicts due to the civil wars of these nations and also due to the battles for the control of the natural resources. In the Congo the war is due to the fight for the extraction of minerals.

4. Africa: (the region of the great lakes, southeast)

These problems are mostly provoked by the issues in between the different communities that are still resented because of the slaughter amongst the Tutsis and the Hutus.

5. Asia: (India, Pakistan, Nepal and Vietnam)

In

the India and in Pakistan there are still rivalries that maintain themselves since the colonial period (since approximately a century ago). In Nepal the Maoist groups have great power in the mountains. Indochina has conflicts caused by the resentment of the war in Vietnam.

6. Middle East: (Syria, Algeria, Morocco, Yemen, Iraq and Afghanistan)

Syria suffered what is called the Arabian spring which are popular protests that demand the democracy in the Muslim nations and this has been the cause of various situations of violence. Algeria, Morocco and Yemen have intern conflicts initiated by fractions of the population that promotes changes in the womb of their regimens. In the meanwhile Iraq and Afghanistan are still in the list of actual conflicts since the year 2000 thanks to the bellicose arsenal zone that the United States still maintains in these countries as a military strategy.

7. Europe: (Serbia)

In what was once Yugoslavia (that has actually been converted into 6 new nations) there is a fight because of the proclamation of Kosovo's independence from Serbia.

John F. Kennedy

Even though we are in a period of relative peace we must not under esteem the power of hatred. As people that share this world we have to treat these subjects with delicacy and precaution. These apparently small problems if not treated can transform and evolve into potential threats for the human race.
