BALANCE GAS
The Model 108 has software that measures & calculates the balance gas on a continuous basis: Balance gas = 100% - ( % CH4+% CO2 + %O2) OR The fourth position can be used for an electrochemical sensor such as H2S
SAMPLING CONSIDERATIONS
Gas Temperature-Samples must be cooled down to near ambient temperatures for optimum measurements from the sensors
Particulate- a filter is necessary to remove particulate to prevent clogging of lines, fouling the sensors & pump
Moisture- must be removed to prevent loss of sample gases and fouling of optical sensors
