GROUP Two or more individuals interacting with each others to accomplish a common goal TEAMS Mature group with member interdependence and motivation to achieve a common goal TEAMS start out as Group.

BUT NOT ALL GROUPS MATURE INTO TEAMS

A group of people working together in their own ways toward a common goal which is defined outside the team.

Example: Mr. X manufactures cardboard boxes as defined by executive leadership.

When teams fail to perform as expected, an attempt is usually made to pinpoint and blame the people responsible. An ineffective team or team failure may at times be nothing more than just a consequence of the wrong combination of people. However, the answer doesn't always lie in replacing the team but in answering the question, What went wrong with the group as a whole & why?

CONCLUSION
Successful companies have highly motivated employees. It is key for survival in today's competitive business world. Teambuilding allows companies to keep their edge, increase productivity, motivation & enthusiasm, and create a positive and fun work environment leading to success
