The Story of First

He was one of the first fifteen year olds to serve as an ambulance driver with the Red Cross during the First World War. He was the first to see the nationwide potential of a small family business operating out of California.
He was the first man to apply the principles of mass production to the service industry.

During the late 1950s, Kroc tried his hand at selling paper cups.
He worked as a pianist for a short period of time. He traveled around the country and sold milkshake machines to various different cafes and restaurants.

During this time he ran across a small hamburger restaurant in San Bernardino, California named McDonald's.
