Mr. A.Vellayan is the Executive Chairman of the Murugappa Corporate Board. He is the Chairman of EID Parry (India) Limited and Coromandel International Ltd. He is also on the board of Indian Overseas Bank and Kanoria Chemicals Ltd.

M M Murugappan is the Vice Chairman of the Murugappa Corporate Board. He is the Chairman of Tube Investments of India Ltd, Carborundum Universal Ltd, Wendt India Ltd, and Murugappa Morgan Thermal Ceramics Ltd.

N Srinivasan is the Director-Finance of the Murugappa Corporate Board.

Sridhar Ganesh is the Director-Human Resources of the Murugappa Corporate Board and Lead Director of the Diversified Business Group (DBG).

V Ravichandran is the Lead Director - Fertiliser and Sugar of the Murugappa Corporate Board.

Venkatraman Thyagarajan is the non-executive External Director of the Murugappa Corporate Board. He is the Vice Chairman of GlaxoSmithKline, India and the Senior Vice President and Regional Director of GlaxoSmithKline, Asia Pacific.

Deepak Satwalekar is the non executive External Director of the Murugappa Corporate Board.

Sridar Iyengar is a non executive External Director of the Murugappa Group Corporate Board.

Murugappa group help people cope with life


The Murugappa Group also works on immediate relief and rehabilitation needs of the local community caused by unprecedented incidents like the tsunami etc. The Murugappa Group rendered invaluable services in the villages of Cuddalore and Nagapattinam districts, severely devastated by the tsunami. The services included immediate relief measures such as food, utensils etc and also rebuilding and renovating the Government Girls Higher Secondary School at the cost of Rs.25 lakh. It also donated a sum of Rs 32.40 lakh to launch a medical van to render mobile medical services to the nearby villages.

Suggestions to the company


The company must emphasize on womens development as well. They must open educational institutions and hospitals specially for women. They must go for family welfare programmes.
