WHY HAWK-EYE?
Sport has great commercial importance and popularity. As a result , theres a need to make the game more interesting and make it as fair as possible. Human error plays vital role in decision making at decisive moments. There is need to bring a technology to minimize the chances of human error in such decision making.

Introduction
Hawk- Eye is a complex computer system
used in cricket, tennis and others game to track the path of the ball and display a record of its most statistically likely path as moving the image. Hawk-Eye is most innovative technology in sports broadcasting and is a development that will reinforce the groups presence and influence. Make the game interesting and fair.

History
It was developed by engineers at Roke Manor Research Limited in 2001. Hawk-Eye is the brain-child of Mr. Paul Hawkins who had a Ph D in
Artificial Intelligence. The Patent being held by Dr. Hawkins & David Sherry.
It was first used during a
test match between Pakistan and England at Lords Cricket ground, on 21 April 2001.
It was used in tennis 2006 US
Open.
Principle of Hawk-Eye
The Hawk-Eye system based on the principle of Triangulation.
triangulation is the
process of determining the location of a point by measuring angle to it from known points at either end of a fixed baseline, rather than
of every ball in a rally. It can pinpoint the bounce of a ball to within three millimeters and measure the skid and the distortion of the

Hawk-Eye incorporates both image analysis
and radar technology. Frame rate of cameras are 120MHz. They track the balls entire trajectory , right from the point where it is released from the bowlers hand to the point the ball is considered dead.

Tracking system
There are 6 high speed vision processing cameras that track the ball from the bowlers hand to batsman. The system will automatically calculate the following step:

The speed of the ball leaving the bowlers hand. The reaction time for the batsman. The swing of the ball from the bowlers hand to where the ball pitched. Where the ball was bowled from. How much the ball bounced How much the ball deviated sideways off the wicket(i.e. seam or spin).

The hawk-eye cricket System can incorporate more video replay camera for better analysis from different camera angles, which can be controlled

Application
Its application mainly in sports.
Cricket Tennis Snooker and In some game Used in military power Use in automobile industry.

Cricket
Hawk Eye help to resolve the following issue: Would the ball have hit the stump?? Did the ball pitch the line? Did the ball hit the batsman?? The single ,2s,3s,4s,6s that make up quick-fire 50s or centuries are represented by the different colors of the
wagon wheel.

This technology has met the accurate and
