MOBILE BUG

Presented by, K.Bhuvana, S.Krishna priya, R.Lakshmi, C.Vaishnavi. FINAL EEE. GUIDED BY, Mrs. Ambika B.E

INTRODUCTION
Use of mobile phones increasing rapidly in examination halls, confidential rooms, etc. For preveting it we have found a device called mobile bug. This handy, pocket-size mobile transmission detector can sense the presence of an activated mobile It produces a warning alarm which indicates the presence of mobile when there is an incoming and outgoing calls

TO BUG A TELEPHONE

BLOCK DISCRIPTION
Signal is receive from antenna. Given to signal processor, conversion of current to voltage takes place. Fed to microcontroller to indicate the presence of mobile through LCD DISPLAY with the help of power supply Also buzzering sound is got

CIRCUIT DIAGRAM

WORKING
ANTENNA Small loop RF antenna used for reception of signal SIGNAL PROCESSOR (RECIEVER) Signal is captured, detects the frequency range from 0.9GHz to 3GHz through the capacitor of .22uf

WORKING
Here the circuit uses a 0.22F capacitor (C3) to capture the RF signal from the mobile phone. The lead length of the capacitor is fixed as 18 mm with a spacing of 8 mm between the leads to get the desired frequency. Capacitor along with the leads acts as a small gigahertz loop antenna to collect the RF signals from the mobile phone.

The output CMOS transistor is capable of swinging the output voltage to within 10 mV of either supply voltage terminal.
Op-amp IC CA3130 (IC1) is used in the circuit as a current-to-voltage converter with capacitor C3 connected between its inverting and non-inverting inputs. It is a CMOS version using gate-protected pchannel MOSFET transistors in the input to provide very high input impedance, very low inputcurrent and very high speed of performance.

Cont
Capacitor C5 (47pF) is connected across strobe (pin 8) and null inputs (pin 1) of IC1 for phase compensation and gain control to optimise the frequency response. When the mobile phone signal is detected by C3, the output of IC1 becomes high and low alternately according to the frequency of the signal as indicated by LED1.

CONTI.
Capacitor C3 in conjunction with the lead inductance acts as a transmission line that intercepts the signals from the mobile phone.

MERITS
Low cost. Portable. Easy maintainence. Even a telephone can be bugged. Also timer can be engaged instead of controller. Used in real time applications

APPLICATONS

CONCLUSION
The mobile bug was successfully setup and tested through LED and LCD It was found to detect the mobile signals in the range of approx 2m. Efficient device to detect mobiles at low cost.
