2008 Highlights

• 50% increase in size of eClub to ~300 members

• Completely new club website and logo


• Re-instatement of First Tuesday happy hours
(We didn’t have these last year)
• First startup expo at Entrepreneurship Conference
• First product branding workshop
• First member survey to assess gaps in club offering

eClub Survey
• Over 50% of club members want to start a business
immediately after school!
• Specific gaps you identified and we’re trying to address:
– Work with WEP to increase # of VIP slots
– Have a more consistent interaction with entrepreneurs than is
possible with Entrepreneur in Residence
– Provide more resources to help with summer internships
• Gaps for next year’s team to try and address:
– Create a Penn-wide network for entrepreneurship to facilitate
team building
– Have more frequent workshops and speakers

Leadership Positions
• Timing:
– Final apps due Feb. 28 for Co-Presidents and Conference Co-Chair
– 3 people for each slate
– 1 of 3 Club Co-Presidents will be designated as Conference Co-Chair

• Requirements:
– Written statement of interest
– Resumes
– Top 2-3 slates will be interviewed
– New Co-Presidents announced on March 15

• Transition Plan:
– Current Co-Presidents will work with the new leadership ensure smooth
hand-off
– New Co-Presidents select their Board of Directors in March / April
