HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY

The hospitality industry is a sector which provides proper service to the guest comprising of accommodations, food services and recreation , entertainment and amusement sectors. The new age hospitality industry is undergoing rapid transformation with several big hotel groups investing in new properties across the globe. Hospitality industry is the biggest revenue earner because it has multiple departmental operations like (frontoffice,housekeepers,kitchen workers, bartenders) which depends on the availability of peoples leisure. As we know that it is widely known fact that tourism cannot be realised without the development of the hospitality sector. Therefore hospitality industry has a tremendous rate of value all over. Hospitality industry is a hotel or inns that provides transitional or short term lodging with or without food to the guest.

DEFINITION

a suite or room, as in a hotel or convention center, rented by a business firm, political candidate, or the like, to meet and entertain clients, potential customers, etc.

The room provides a place to meet before, during or after show hours with important clients or prospects and encourages longer meetings and conversations. An invitation to a hospitality suite is a good way to keep from spending precious prospecting time in the talking to customers, provide a good place for the entire staff team to get together and discuss strategies. This private room is a much better place to conduct important meetings.

If one is organizing Hospitality Room then one should definitely make sure that the room contains a sofa and loveseat conversational grouping. You can create additional conversational spaces by arranging chairs in groups of three, at various locations around the rooms perimeter. A banquet room setup secret is to use cocktail rounds, very small round tables that can hold several drinks, surrounded by two or three stackable chairs, to create conversational groups.

Service Area Depending on the formality of a Hospitality Room, 0ne should be using a professional bartender, who must have an accurate idea of how to mix drinks and pour wine, or setting up the beverage area for self service. Else if one doesnt have a professional bartender, then they can keep the beverage choices relatively simple. Offer both red wine and white wine. The majority of women selecting alcoholic beverages will be satisfied with wine. Offer three different bottled beers, including a light beer and an imported beer, which will satisfy the majority of men at the event. The hard liquor consists of gin, vodka, rum, scotch and whiskey. Add lots of ice, lime wedges, bottle openers, stirring sticks, bar napkins and a corkscrew.

The food plan should be determine in such a way that is should satisfy the requirements of the guest and the budget of the Hotel Industry. As Most people coming to a hospitality room wants to munch, since they are likely travelling and not on a regular food schedule. For this reason, we should offer a bowls of non-perishable snack food, throughout the room. So depending upon the budget, kitchen facility, serving staff to maintain the food display we should add fun foods in order maintain the standard.

Hospitality room in a hotel provides a firm or peoples to conduct various events, celebration, meetings, etc. Arrangement for and staff Hospitality Room at hotel, stock with food and drink, serve as host. Food and drink offered should include an assortment of sodas, bottled water, wine, beer and snacks. Its nice to have cards and games available too.

The computers were set up with web access to frequently used email systems, such as AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, EarthLink, and Juno.
A technical person should be available to help out with initial setup and testing. A committee member should be present at all times the room is open in order to troubleshoot and insure the security of the computers.

Instead of using commonly found granny smith apples and oranges, serve kumquats, pink lady apples and peaches. When possible, place bowls of seasonal fruit like strawberries and blueberries out for guests.

Hospitality room are used for various types of events by which a firm can improve its Relationships which are fostered by shared experiences and events. Hospitality room are booked to conduct board meeting of a firm where they can meet and discuss on certain topics and also enjoy the services provided in the room like snacks, fruits and vegetables salads, soft drinks and wine. Events are held in hospitality room of a hotel to promote their trade relation with different clients and customers.

Events held in hospitality room provide a great way to make friends with clients and customers and make their goodwill.
Its also important because it is the only type of a room in a hotel where board meetings, sales promotion event, shows for introducing and promoting new things in to the market, entertaining clients and customers etc. are held, so every hotel must have a hospitality room.

SELF OPINION ABOUT THE PROJECT

Since Hospitality industry has the wide range of facilities, it should keep its standard according to the mark for the further enhancement of the sector Meeting up all the requirement for the safety of the guest, there should be proper vigilance as this days many Hotel Industries like Hotel Taj, Oberoi Hotel were encountered by the Terrorist. We should also take into consideration that the tourist coming to our country should be well guided, and properly treated by the people.
