Discharge Amplifier
Via the pressure below the actuator piston the proportional valve controls the position of the actuator in accordance with the electrical input signal which also corresponds with the control valve position, required by the turbine controller. This control can be configured at the power amplifier.

Third Steam Valves (Butterfly Valves) The actuator closes the valve with spring force in case of a pressure drop in the hydraulic system. Control and stop valve are identical. The control valve controls the steam flow to the turbine in accordance with the flow rate required with the turbine controller. Strainer
In case of inadmissible operating conditions or a shutdown, the Stop valve shuts off the steam supply to the LP turbine.

Third Steam Valve Stop Valve Stop and control valve are double eccentrically mounted butterfly valves with unidirectional tightness. Valve can assume two stationary positions:fully open or closed.
Butterfly valves have cone-shaped valve disc edges protrudes in metallic seals during closing. The disc seals are hard-faced.

Fitting position
Gap at the inside diameter
The seal rings have a parallelogram-shaped crosssection, the end rings a trapezoidal cross-section. Due to the different cross-sections of the seal and end rings the uncompressed valve stem packings have two gaps, one at the inside diameter, the other at the outside diameter
Gap at the inside diameter is on the pressure

Valve stem packing Mounting valve stem packing rings without compressions
Ensure that the guide bushing is installed in the lock with the chamfered side at its front 1. Place the inner end ring over the end of the spindle and push it into the chamber for the packing make sure that the end ring makes full contact with the guide bushing 2. Place the seal rings over the valve spindle end and push them into the chamber for the packing make sure that each seal ring makes full contact with the previously inserted ring 3. Place the outer end ring over the spindle and push it into the chamber for the packing - make sure that each seal ring makes full contact with the previously inserted ring
4. Screw the special screw up to the stop in the lock do not tighten them
5. Push the gland over the screws and into the chamber for packing 6. Install the washers and the nuts on the screws and tighten them with the right toque

The valve stem packing shall be compressed, i.e. permanently deformed, when mounting them definitely, i.e before commissioning the valve.
If for some reason the valve packing have to be removed again before commissioning the valve, they may be mounted only provisionally, i.e. without compression
