MISSIONS UNDERTAKEN BY GOVT

Government of India has undertaken many projects under sustainability. Some of these are: 1.National Solar Mission: It seeks to deploy 2000 MW of solar electricity capacity in the country by 2020, the first phase(2010-2012) is currently underway during which 1000 MW is planned to be installed. 2. National mission for Enhanced Energy Efficiency: It creates new institutional mechanisms to enable the development and energy efficiency market. Various programs have been initiated for e.g. super efficient equipment program(SEEP) to accelerate the deployment of superefficient appliances.
