What we concluded?
There were very few

organizations (RDA, BIC, BIP, NES) dealing with entrepreneurship development The activities were not coordinated There are unused resources (high schools, faculties, local NGOs, informal youth groups, youth offices, municipal offices) with great potentials

What should have been done?

To raise their awareness on importance of this

issue, To provide them with elementary knowledge and skills The most important: TO CREATE MULTISECTORAL MECHANISM CONSISTED OF LOCAL AND NATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, CIVIC SECTOR AS WELL AS BUSINESS SECTOR

Multisectoral mechanism for YE

Public sector

Civic cector

YE City commette

Business sector

What was undertaken?

Series of capacity building and awareness rising

activities, BSC together with Municipality of Kragujevac initiated forming of wide City comeettee consisted of all relevant stakeholders (NGOs, local and national institutions, youth organizations, and business sector) who recognized the importance of the topic. LAP for youth entrepreneurship developed

The action plan embraced all effective activities

and measures that have been applied before, The best practices applied on different locations have been adopted and included in LAP. Coordinated system of support for the very first time Clear responsibilities for the activities, Defined sources of funding and time frame for each activity

What we managed so far?

The City of Kragujevac for the very first

time introduced new budget line for the YE development The City of Kragujevac 30% of the fund for small grants intended for young entrepreneurs 3 business units in BIC are intended to YE. The plans for implementation of very important are made. Entrepreneurship became extracurricular activity in secondary schools. The Faculty of Engineering established center for students entrepreneurship

What is expected in the future?

LAP is in the implementation and monitoring
