Gujarat is a very vast and a fast developing state at the west of

India. It has its representation in puranas. Lord Krishna was the king of Dwarika which is at present in Gujarat. Gujarat has one of the twelve Shiva mandiras of India is Somanath. Gujarat has its precious contribution in giving freedom to India from britishers. Mahatma gandhi,Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel were the freedom fighters from Gujarat. Gujarat has its own language known as Guajarati. There are many religions followed in Gujarat. In Guajarati language there are different ways of speaking (folk languages) like Surati,Mehsani,Kathiyawadi and many more. Gujarati language has its own script of writing. In the Swarnim year of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modi started the VANCHE GUJARAT ABHIYAN.

Gujarat has many big cities like

Ahmedabad,Vadodara,Rajkot,Jamnagar,Surat. Gujarat has many industrial towns such as Vapi,Ankleshwar,Bharuch etc. Gujarat has one international airport at Ahmedabad. This state has the one and only sanctuary of lions in India in the valleys of Girnar known as Gir. It has many tourist attractions like Nal sarovar which is the bird century and many more.. Gujarat has a good agricultural land and here cotton,sugarcane,wheat,bajra etc grow in a good amount. Gujarat produce max. number of cotton in India.

Gujarat has largest coastline among all states of India.

It has 663 km which is 30% of Indian coastline. it is covered from three sides with sea. It has 19 districts and 10 sea coasts. It has 52 active ports. It has 196,024 of total land area. Gujarat has famous Sun temple at Modhera made by the Solanki kings.

Gujarat has a dam built up on river Narmada named as

Sardar Sarovar. Gujarat is ahead in field of automobiles, General Motors has its factory in Gujarat and now TATA Nano is being produced in Gujarat. Now Mr.Amitabh Bahchan is brand ambassador of Gujarat state. Gujarat has many more attractions like patoda of patan,bandhani of Jamnagar and other architectural monuments.

Ahmedabad is named after its king Ahmed Shah

on the bank of river Sabarmati. It has many attractions like Kankariya lake, science city etc. It has international airport and international cricket stadium (Sardar Patel cricket stadium). It has the famous Sabarmati ashram on bank of river Sabarmati. It has many cotton textile industries. It has Gujarat University for education. It has a grill named as Sidhi Saiyed ni Jali and it is know for is beautiful carvings.

Sardar Patel stadium has sitting capacity of 48000 and

has flood lights first ODI played their was Ind vs Aus in 1984 and first test match played was Ind vs West Indies in 1983.

Vadodara is a city named after banyan tree. Vadodara has Laxmi Vilas palace known for its beautiful carvings. It has airport and has international cricket

stadium. It has many industries such as IPCL,GSFC,Alembic and Sarabhai Chemicals. Vadodara was ruled by Sir Syajirao Gayakwad. After his name Maharaja Sayajirao University of Vadodara is there. It is well reputed not even in India in foreign too. Near Vadodara there is Ajwa sarovar situated.

Rajkot is in the Saurastra province of Gujarat.


It is famous for its food items like ganthiya and fafda. It also has a airport and an International stadium.

Surat is on the bank of river Tapi.


IT is known for production of diamonds. Surat has many varieties of food items. The famous sweet of Surat is GHARI. Surat is also famous for its silk textile. It is also famous for its diamond market.

WE SHOULD DO SOMETHING TO KEEP GUJARAT AHEAD, WE SHOULD FOLLOW OUR DUTIES AND RULES OF GOVT.
