1 Connect the computer to the Monitor Port of the Monitor Board with a serial cable.
2 Open the Repeater Test software on the computer. 3 Select the correct COM Number.

PLL Setup (Generally, we need not to change the default values which have been set correctly according to the specified repeater by the testing engineers in the Guanri manufacture center.): Operation Steps: Repeater Operation-PLL Set (the password is: hwthwt)

Notes: Firstly, we must select the correct repeater type. In the window above,64 stands for the 200KHz frequency adjusting step.

5 Parameters Setup Repeater Operation-Parameters Setup

Then display this dialog

Frequency Parameters Setup

Firstly, select the correct repeater type in the selective frame (displayed in blue in the window above). Secondly, set specified working channels(or working channels and shift channels).

UL/DL PA switch states and Attenuation Setup Click on Other Parameters Setup, the window below will appear.

Communications Parameters Setup Click on Communications Parameters. See the window below. Set correct Numbers of the center station and select the correct communication mode.

display the Output powers Firstly, check the real-time value of the output power:

So the window below will be displayed on the computer

Then the window below will be displayed on the computer

From the window, we can get all the values and the states displayed: EspeciallyDL/UL PA Power show we the signal output power of the repeater. If the output power is not ideal, we can set the UL and UL Attenuation whose maximum values both are 31 dB to change the output power. Take note that if you adjust the DL Attenuation, you need to adjust the UL Attenuation too for keeping the balance.

Check the alarm states

Firstly, enable all alarms switch

Then, check the alarms states Operations: Parameters Query-Alarms Query

And we can adjust some alarm thresholds to change some alarm states. Operations: Repeater Operation-Parameters Setup-Alarm Threshold Setup

We can Query the real-time parameters of the repeater Firstly select Parameters Query Real_time Parameters Query

Adjust the analog values adjustment to change the values displayed in the following window

Notes: Forward Adjust means making the relating values becoming bigger just in displaying, but it cant change the real working values. And Reverse Adjust means making the relating values less in displaying.

There are some information which has been set as default of the repeater in the software, we need not to change them because they do not effect the working states of the repeater. After all the parameters have been set correctly, the repeater can work normally.
