Learners Role Goals and Objectives *Focuses on the process of creating writing * Students trained to generate ideas, think of purpose, audience *Write multiple drafts to communicate own ideas *learning to write as a developmental process to write as professionals * Impress and communicate with their readers * Apply language / grammar features learned * Make decisions about genre, choice of topics

* Facilitate writing process * Give pupils time to tray ideas * Aid pupils in making their written discourse lovely and effective Emphasis / Dominant Features * Encourages pupils to communicate their own messages * Develops handwriting, spelling and grammar

Sample Activities The process * Pupils pick and produce own ideas on what and how to write 1. Pre-writing

- Group brainstorming on a given topic (cooperatively)


2. Writing - Extend ideas into note form - Organise ideas into mind map - Write 1st draft (class / pairs) 3. Editing -drafts exchanged, read each others work 4. Final draft is written

Description

* Allowed to have drafts and edit them * Pupils considered as professional writers * Practice & exhaust all the ideas to produce impressive work * Pupils engage in pre-writing, planning, drafting and post-writing

* Leads pupils into a more comprehensive writing experience


* Expected to communicate and answer critical questions on audience * Idea of using good grammar features
