EMBEDDED SYSTEM DESIGN FOR ACCIDENT ALERT USING RF

Embedded System Design for Accident Alert using RF

o The main aim of the project is to prevent the accident and to inform

emergency about an accident that has been occurred.

o This project describes the design of effective alarm system that can

monitor an automotive/vehicle/car condition in traveling.

o This project uses a glass breakage sensor, smoke detector and

Proximity detector.
o The uniqueness of the project is not only alerting the driver, it also

sends accident info to near by police station, which is already programmed in to the system.

BLOCK WORKING
LCD

The 2*8 LCD is an 8 bit or 4 bit parallel interface LCD. This unit
allows the user to display text, numerical data and custom created characters. Microcontroller 89c52 The AT89C52 provides the following standard features: 8K bytes of Flash, 256 bytes of AM, 32 I/O lines, three 16-bit timer/counters, a sixvector two-level interrupt architecture, a full-duplex serial port, on-chip oscillator, and clock circuitry.

INFRARED

Infrared (IR) light is electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength longer than that of visible light, measured from the nominal edge of visible red light at 0.74 micrometres, and extending conventionally to 300 micrometres. These wavelengths correspond to a frequency range of approximately 1 to 400 THz, and include most of the thermal radiation emitted by objects near room temperature. Microscopically, IR light is typically emitted or absorbed by molecules when they change their rotational-vibrational movements.

SMOKE DETECTOR

Smoke detector is a device that detects smoke, typically as an indicator of

fire. Commercial, industrial, and mass residential devices issue a signal to a fire alarm system, while household detectors, known as smoke alarms,

generally issue a local audible and/or visual alarm from the detector itself.

PROXIMITY SENSOR
A proximity sensor is a sensor able to detect the presence of nearby

objects without any physical contact.

A proximity sensor often emits an electromagnetic or electrostatic

field, or a beam of electromagnetic radiation (infrared, for instance),

and looks for changes in the field or return signal. The object being sensed is often referred to as the proximity sensor's target. Different proximity sensor targets demand different sensors. For example, a capacitive or photoelectric sensor might be suitable for a plastic target; an inductive proximity sensor requires a metal target.

ENCODER AND DECODER

It is a 4 bit used to convert bits in to waveform and send to rftx.
Advantages
No of accidents reduced Safety with alert system Easy to implement Reduces the drunken drive Can be used in any vehicle

Applications
Used in vip cars.

Used in trucks.
Used in all small vehicles.

Future enhancement
This we consider for one vehicle it can be implemented for more. RF range can be increased.

ALCOHOL GAS SENSOR & RF-TX-RX

Alcohol gas sensor

It is suitable for detecting alcohol concentration on your breath, just like your common breathalyzer. It has a high sensitivity and fast response time. Sensor provides an analog resistive output based on alcohol concentration. The drive circuit is very simple, all it needs is one resistor.
RF-tx-rx It is ideal for short-range remote control applications where cost is a primary concern. The receiver module requires no external RF components except for the antenna. The super-regenerative design exhibits exceptional sensitivity at a very low cost.
