Create an Original SMART Board Lesson or Activity

ID Project Description
The target audience is elementary school teachers. After three hours of instruction they will learn how to use Smart Notebook 11 to create an original SMART Board activity appropriate for their content area and grade.

Learning Goal
Given a Windows XP, 7 or 8, OS personal computer with SMART Notebook 11 software, Internet access, grade-level and content area curriculum references and resources, and a project rubric, learners will follow a SMART Notebook tutorial, and then create a multipage SMART Board lesson or activity containing 8 or more of the 15 elements discussed in the tutorial.

Type of Learning
This learning task falls into the intellectual skills category and encompasses both procedures and problem solving.
Anderson (1976) described this type of learning as procedural knowledge. . . Procedural knowledge is knowing how, and declarative knowledge is knowing what (Smith & Ragan, 2005, p. 80).
