One of the asexs method is marcot breeding. This process will expelled the root at the part of the main tree in order to increase the amount. These type of plant get the nutrient from its main tree while the expelling process the part that has been use is branch (twig) from selected plant.

This process done without separating that part from its main. This process/method is use for wooden tree which is hard to expel the root such as ciku tree.

1. Selecting twig
a. Select the tree that has been identified as applicable. b. Select from a healthy well-grown tree which is not infected by any crops diseases. c. Twig must be picked from a wooden branch or medium wooden branch. The size of finger or estimate of 2.5-3.0 cm diameter.

d. The twig must be well-shaped, straight, and balance, in other word, in good condition.

e. It should have numerous number of buds in order to quicker the producing of new buds.

2. Marcot Breeding Method

a. Match the jiffy pot for about 4 minute or until it is expended. b. Twig as define above is selected. Clear the space for making a nick to the selected twig in order to reduce transpiration process from occurred around the twig. Thus making the work much easier.

c. Make the first nick around the twig using a cutter. The distance of second nick should be about 3 cm from the first one.

d. Peel the bark whole between those two nicks using a cutter. After that, scratch the around the cambium area until it looks dehydrated.

e. Apply root stimulation on the top of the nick. This is the domain area where the root will grow.
f. Cut the jiffy pot and lump it all over the nick area. g. Quickly tie the plastic wrapper at the bottom to avoid the lumps from disintegrate.

h. Stick the lumpy jiffy pot at the bottom of the stretched twig make sure they are compact and wellconnected.

i. Tie and fit the plastic to avoid any exposure. If it is exposed, it would cause dehydration to wards the lumps, causing the failure to this marcot techniques.

j. After one or three month, this techniques would show the result. The fresh new roots would grow out. They can then be cut at the bottom area and remove to a plastic bag.

3. Protection a. After 2 or 3 week, it must be check to make sure the conglomeration is dry and become harder. It happens because the plastic was tearing and we must water it b. After all this process the method to protect this plant is same as other usual plant.

This method is easy but the possibility to succeed is depending on the situation. It also depends on the way we take care of the plant. All the methods that have been mention must be doing step by step when we do this marcot breeding.
