What is a blog?
Short for Web log, blogs are websites composed of serial short or medium-length entries. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. Most blogs are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments and even message each other via widgets on the blogs and it is this interactivity that distinguished them from other static websites. Blogs may be maintained by an individual or collaborating group.*

Writing a blog
Decide what kind of blog you are writing Remember the perfect is the enemy of the good Social presence is important make it sound like a person is talking Write for participation. Encourage others to comment using questions and posts designed to provoke a reaction. Use materials/content that you generate for other purposes. e.g. post presentations. Dont be afraid to include short posts and links.
