Was the first vehicle that Henry Ford invented

In 1891, Ford became an engineer with the Edison Illuminating Company, and after his promotion to Chief Engineer in 1893, he had enough time and money to devote attention to his personal experiments on gasoline engines These experiments culminated in 1896 with the completion of his own selfpropelled vehicle named the Ford Quadricycle, which he test-drove on June 4.

Ford combined precision and speed when manufacturing cars by creating the Assembly line in 1913. It was a continuously moving line where workers remained on place adding one component to each automobile as it moved past them on a line. Delivery of parts by conveyor belt to the workers was carefully timed to keep the assembly line moving smoothly and efficently.

The Model T was introduced on October 1, 1908. It was so cheap at $825 in 1908 (the price fell every year) that by the 1920s a majority of American drivers learned to drive on the Model T.

In ill health, he ceded the presidency to his grandson Henry Ford II in September 1945 and went into retirement. He died in 1947 of a cerebral hemorrhage at age 83 in Fair Lane, his Dearborn estate, and he is buried in the Ford Cemetery in Detroit.
