To analyze the operating system of MFIs. To analyze the social and economic gains derived by the members after joining the MFIs.

Research design- Descriptive. Research tools- Observation method, Questionnaire survey & Interview technique. Research technique- Interpretation is based on percentage analysis. Sampling technique- Convenience Sampling. Sample elements- Members of MFIs (Cashpor Microcredit) Source of data- Primary & Secondary. Sampling units- Mirzapur City, Narayanpur and Madihan. Sample size: 50

All the members who form the groups, studied were homogenous with regular savings and groupmeetings. Saving habit has incresed among the members of the group. Timely recovery of loans is a problem due to more needs and less income. Maximum groups are women groups wih involvement in specific activities leading to women empowerment through economic independence. Due to lack of proper project involvement in specific activities income is less and it effects the income generation.

 Although

the members are involved in some work but it is restricted to small number of groups. The activities in which they are involved are not yielding them proper income as expected due involvement in traditional professions,in which there is a large competition. The profit margin is less, and the poor gets less money in hands in turn upliftment of the poor above poverty line is not achieved through the scheme.

field-officer should be appointed to look after the activities in the field and look after the internal and external progress of the groups. This will also help in the grading process to be done as early as possible. Firstly the rules and regulations must be told to the each and every group members by the fascilitator at the time of formation of group. There should be some flexibility in the criteria for the sanctioning of the loans and it should be for such activities that may yield proper income to the groups

requesting approach to the block office sould be made by the fascilitator or the field officer for the training assistance, as the women members are interested to do work but due to lack of skills they are forced to do traditional work facing compettition. Proper market channel should be provided to the product makers required for product exposure. Since the number of SHGs were very less in the district through Cashpor Microcredit, the institution should offer group accounts through NGOs. There could be institution monitoring cell at the branch level.
