school teachers in Pakistan find themselves
under increasing pressure from parents and the
government. They are expected to help students
developing their all round personality as well as
grow professional attitude. At the same time
teachers are asked to meet the legitimate
demands of the contemporary society. These
expectations could only be met if the teaching
quality of teachers, professional expertise and
understanding of the surroundings are
enhanced. These requirements point to the need
for a professionally oriented course like M.A.
