INTRODUCTION
SKILL MATRIX is a chart or a database where operators past performance on various operations are recorded in a systematic way for the future reference. Skill matrix is updated at a regular interval or after the completion of each style; operators current performance is updated on the database.
OBJECTIVE
To prepare the SKILL MATRIX CHART for the operators working in the company.
To assign the correct operation to the operator according to his skills and grade.
METHODOLOGY
Information regarding the operators and their skills are taken from supervisors . Total number of operators- 80
Grades A+ Number of Operators 15 Salary/Month Rs.5730 Skills Critical Operations- all operations of collar, neck ,neckline, bottom fold ,hem fold, etc. 3, 4, 5 thread overlock, sleeve attach, operations done by flat lock m/c, UBT, double needle lock stitch m/c, SNLS Hemming, attach wash care label, hanging loops, etc

This project gives the organization a lot of concrete data regarding the operators skill levels.
It provides the updated knowledge about the operators performance.

BENEFITS
Line supervisors take minimum time to find and select the most efficient operators for a particular operation. For line balancing, operators can be selected according to the work content. When someone is absent, supervisor can easily find suitable person from the skill matrix table and thus replace.

Waste is anything that adds to the time and cost of making of a product but does not add value to the product from the customers point of view.
OBJECTIVE
1. To develop a process to convert the waste fabric into a usable value-added end product . 2.To provide the best alternative for the waste fabric. 3.To give a new dimension to the designer garments by adding the fabric jewellery. 4.To increase the company market value by introducing the fabric jewellery.
methodology
The bins in the cutting department are the base of the project.
Make some utility products and convert the kilos of waste fabric into some usable product.

The manufacturing cost of the jewellery is approx. Rs 7-8, which can be sold at a higher cost.

Hence, optimum utilization of the manpower , machinery and materials can be achieved.
LIMITATION
Large variety can not be available. Prediction of actual quantity cannot be done. Demand of the buyer cannot be fulfilled.
